This is a set of maps that I made for Starcraft: Brood Wars. The idea is not mine, but the implementation is. The idea is simple: you (and your allies) defend a base against many zerg attackers for 12 minutes. Specifically, you must defend a landmark which is supposedly of some significance to both you and the Zerg. After 12 minutes, the Zerg will stop sending attackers, but those already enroute must be killed.

3-Player Version
Player 1 is red Protoss, and controls the right side of the base. This player's starting units
have an emphasis on ground combat, and the heros are a pair of dragoons. Player 3 is teal Protoss, and is on the left side of the
base. Their starting units focus on air power, with a pair of scouts as their heros. Finally, in the center, is player 2, the blue
Terrans. They make up most of the base's initial defenses, and have twin Kerrigans (ghosts) as heros.Download cf3pv13.zip (40k) |

2-Player Version
Player 1 is red Protoss, and controls the right side of the base. Their heros are two scouts. Player 2 is on the left side as blue
Terrans. Again, they've got the two ghosts for heros. To make up for the loss of the third player, both players start with more
buildings and units than in the 3-player version. This version is still untested.Download cf2pv1.zip (40k) |

Single Player Version
The Terrans have the base to themselves. You must defend the base solo, but you get very strong defenses, to compensate.
Notably, the lack of Protoss observers makes you very vulnerable to lurkers, so you start with two comsat stations and two science
vessels.Download cf1pv1.zip (40k) |

Notes and Tips
- You face the exact same attack force in all three scenarios.
- You are given unlimited resources, and you are limited only by how fast you can spend them and by your supplies.
- Play a round where you set up some basic initial defenses, then just watch how they are taken down to see where the weaknesses are.
- Don't assume that the initial defense structure is the best one.
- You will probably find that different strategies need to be used for each of the three scenarios.
- Speed is important, but don't assume that failure simply means you are working too slow. Consider alternative strategies.
- In the upper-left corner of the screen, you'll see the number of units each player has killed, as well as each Zerg tribe.
- You can use the "Game Speed" setting in options as a difficulty slider. Slower is easier. The scenarios were made for the medium speed.
Possible future changes
- Add an advance Terran bunker which the lookout marine flees from, just before it is over-run.
- Make the structure to be defended consistent throughout all three scenarios.
- Make the Zerg AI specifically attack the structure, rather than randomly attacking and eventually getting to the structure.
- Add some Protoss rescuable defenses to the single player scenario.
- Make a Protoss single-player scenario.
