Atox's Videos
The following are some videos I have compiled from recordings of me playing CS. The clips are from public servers, not clan matches, but that doesn't matter since the goal here is not to impress but to entertain. You will need the DivX codec to view the videos.
My first video was finished on April 3rd, 2004. It is set to Ween's "I'm Waving My Dick in the Wind". I'm fairly pleased with the result, but I wish I had included some sort of intro.
The second video I made was released on June 9th, 2004. It is a bit more refined than the first, but the end is a bit boring (I'm refering to the part that runs at 8x speed; you'll see what I mean). This one is set to Lagwagon's cover of "Brown Eyed Girl".
Tools
I used VideoMach to splice together video clips. I created the fast-forward effect using a Perl script I wrote that used ImageMagick to overlay the VCR fuzz. Virtual Audio Cable is a very unique and useful tool which I used to capture audio output from CS. For splicing and mixing the audio, I used Adobe Audition (known as "Cool Edit Pro" before Adobe bought it). Lastly, I used Stoik Video Converter to encode the DivX video and MP3 audio, since, unfortunately, VideoMach bombs when encoding to DivX and doesn't offer MP3 audio encoding. I now know that VideoMach is garbage; you should use VirtualDubMod.
Other Videos
I recommend Fileplanet's CS video archive if you want to view more videos.
